Themes
I think the theme in this book is about Christopher and his need to organize everything and find ways to make everything confusing understandable to him. He is also investigating the murder of the neighbor-dog, and if he wants to get a solution he has to force him selves to speak to others and do things he is afraid of and confuse him. In his investigation he finds out that his mother isn’t dead, like his father have told him but lives in London. I think this is the turning point in this book.

The setting
The setting takes place in a town in England. Christopher has Asperger’s Syndrome and is afraid of new and other places, thats why the setting is basically around his neighbourhood. Christopher’s neighbourhood is a very regular neighbourhood and the neighbourhood is not very populated. The writer doesn’t describe the setting very much, but it is a drawing in the book that gives a overview on Christopher and his neighbours houses.
I think the setting could have been everywhere in the world, I don’t know why the writer have chosen this setting.

The main person
The main person is Christopher Boone, he’s not a stereotype, hero or anti-hero. He is kind of living in his own world because of his Asperger’s Syndrome. He is not a social person, he likes to be alone or with his closest friend or his dad. His fear is the society, people he don’t know, the color yellow and brown and being touched.
“The policeman took hold of my arm and lifted me onto my feet.I didn’t like him touching me like this. And this is when I hit him.”
